Jack Ryan-Shadow Recruit Movie Review

7/10 stars

Jack Ryan-Shadow Recruit is about a young military officer who is wounded in battle. He is then recruited by the CIA, and a big adventure soon ensues, with car chases, fights, and Russians. Jack Ryan is not by any means an awful movie, but it is very run-of-the-mill. You know most of the stuff that is going to happen, and the plot is pretty conventional. The acting is fine, but there are no amazing performances by any of the cast. Some of the dialogue is pretty boring, and the pacing is flawed at some points. But, what shines is the overall fun of it. Even though it isn't ground-breaking, you are still going to be very satisfied seeing Chris Pine punch someone in the face. Overall, Jack Ryan is a movie where you get what you are expecting-cool action, but a conventional plot and run-of-the-mill dialogue. I suggest this movie to anyone wanting to see a fun action flick, but not for someone who wants to watch an art film.
