TERRIBLE MOVIES-Batman and Robin

1/10 stars

Hi guys. I'm going to start a new thing in which I talk (and basically rant) about some of my least favorite movies. Today, I'm going to talk about Joel Shumacer's Batman and Robin. One of my favorite movies of all time is The Dark Knight, directed by Christopher Nolan. This movie is just a giant steaming ball of crap. It takes the idea of Batman with such stupidity it made me cringe. It stars George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger, so you'd think there is at least some acting talent. But they are written so terribly that it just hurt to watch. And EVERY. DAMN. SCENE. Arnold Schwarzenegger has to have some stupid pun about "freezing" someone. The story is ludicrous. The acting is appalling. The puns make you cringe. The action is so unrealistic it could be filmed by a kindergartner. This movie is TERRIBLE.

Rio 2-Movie Review

6/10 stars

Rio 2 is the sequel to 2011's Rio. It takes place soon after the first, when Blu and Jewel have kids and take a trip to the Amazon. There, they meet Jewel's old tribe, and Blu must learn to fit in. All in all, this movie was okay. It was at times funny and heart-warming, but it was spoiled by one main thing-it was way too predictable. You could predict every single plot point just by watching to trailer. It is basically "Meet the Parents" but with blue birds instead of people. But, it was not really a bad movie. Though is was predictable, everything was pretty well executed, and it made me chuckle a few times.

Godzilla-Movie Review

8/10 stars

Godzilla's plot is pretty self-explanatory. Godzilla, the king of monsters, is here to wreak havoc on America. There are a lot of other plot points, but I will not spoil them and instead let you see for yourself. This movie was very good. Though flawed, it still has jaw-dropping visuals and action while also having some good characters and intense drama. The only problems I had were small technical ones-a character here, a scene there. The overall framework of the film was very good-it was just a few minor problems that stack up. If those problems were fixed, then this movie would have gotten a 9, maybe a 10. Go see this movie.

X-Men Days of Future Past-Movie Review

9/10 stars

Hey, guys. Sorry about the gap between reviews. X-men Days of Future Past takes place way in the future, a future ruled by Sentinels and where mutants are constantly hunted and killed. Professor X and Magneto unite, and send Wolverine to back in time to correct their past mistakes. I'll just come out and say it-this movie was AWESOME. I mean, it was insanely great. Not only was the action mind-blowing (and at times hilarious) but the characters were well thought out and executed. The story does not get too convoluted in the alternate-timeline stuff, and focuses more on the actual endeavor of fixing the past. The story was well-executed, wit great twists and turns. You cared about the characters, even the villains, and you got to see a perspective from both future and past mutants. The special affects were astounding. The comedy was just right. All in all, see this NOW!
